What is a sieve plate tower disk?
Sieve plate tower plate is in the tower plate drilling many small holes, work fluid from the upper tower plate through the drop tube flow down, lateral flow through the tower plate through the layer of the tower plate drop tube into the next layer of the tower plate; gas from the bottom up through the sieve holes, dispersed into bubbles, through the sieve plate on the liquid layer in the process of inter-phase mass transfer, heat transfer. As the gas has a certain pressure and flow rate, the fluid has a “support” effect, so in general the fluid will not leak from the sieve holes.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of the sieve plate tray?
Advantages: simple structure, easy to manufacture and maintain; large production capacity, 20% to 30% higher than that of bubble plate; small pressure drop; higher efficiency than that of bubble plate, but not as high as that of floating valve plate; higher operational flexibility, but not as high as that of bubble plate.
Disadvantages: the small aperture sieve is easy to be clogged, so it is not suitable to deal with dirty, viscous and solid particles in the material.
