What Factors Affect the Performance of Wire Mesh Demisters?

Influence screen defoamer defoaming performance of the factors are mainly two aspects: media characteristics and gas velocity.

　　(1) Media characteristics. By the working principle of the screen defoamer can be seen, in a certain temperature, pressure conditions, the surface tension of the medium, liquid viscosity to determine the defoaming efficiency of the screen defoamer. Surface tension is large, the liquid foam is easy to adhere to the screen to form large droplets, defoaming efficiency is higher, the surface tension is small on the contrary. Droplet viscosity is large, the droplets are not easy to fall off from the screen, easy to block the gas channel, so that the gas velocity rises, defoaming efficiency is low. Foam content is high, the particle size is large, the defoaming efficiency is high.

　　(2) Gas speed. The speed of gas through the screen should be selected appropriately. Gas speed is too low, so that the entrainment of the fog foam in the gas phase fluttering, not with the screen for inertial collision with the gas flow through the screen is taken away by the gas; gas speed is too high, has been captured droplets are not easy to fall from the screen, resulting in liquid flooding, easy to be entrained by the gas out again, reducing the capture efficiency.
