Stainless steel flat ring packing is a kind of chemical packing developed by my country that is particularly suitable for liquid-liquid extraction process. Stainless steel flat ring packing is a short open hole annular packing with a height-to-diameter ratio of 0.2-0.4. The flange of the step ring is cancelled, and the inner curved arc ribs are used to improve the packing strength. It can be arranged in order when piled up. The flow channel structure is reasonable and the pressure drop is low. The processing capacity and mass transfer performance are improved. Due to the structural changes, especially the reduction of the convergence and dispersion points formed by the flange of the ring and the end point of the inner curved blade of the packing layer, it is especially used for the flow of liquid-liquid two phases, reducing the convergence of the dispersed phase liquid-liquid group here; and the symmetrical and uniform inner curved arc rib structure has a good effect on the uniformity of fluid flow, promotes the dispersion-convergence-redispersion cycle of the droplet group, effectively reduces the axial back mixing of the packing layer, and improves the mass transfer efficiency between the liquid-liquid two phases.

The characteristics of stainless steel flat ring packing are: the packing flow channel structure is more reasonable, the resistance drop is small, the strength is high, the processing capacity is strong, the mass transfer efficiency is high, the load elasticity is large, the packing is arranged in an orderly manner when it is piled up, the pressure drop is low, and the processing capacity and mass transfer performance are improved. Moreover, because the packing design has good structural strength, the service life is longer. There are two main features: First, it changes the opening window blade of the packing ring wall from the traditional disconnected inward-bending tongue piece to a continuous inward-bending arc-shaped rib piece, and cancels the flange of the ring wall end face; second, it adopts a smaller ring height-diameter ratio, making the ring height-diameter ratio about 1/3.

Stainless steel flat ring packing is widely used in absorption, washing and liquid-liquid extraction processes; refining of gasoline, naphtha, and light diesel; tail gas absorption in the fields of oil refining, chemical industry, and pharmaceutical industry; desalination process; lubricating oil furfural refining, phenol refining; aromatics extraction; cracking gas washing; dry gas and liquefied gas desulfurization, gasoline sweetening; phenol-containing and sulfur-containing wastewater treatment; phenol extraction; acetone recovery, etc.
Metal flat ring packing is also suitable for desulfurization, stripping, phenol extraction, phenol-containing wastewater treatment, lubricating oil furfural refining, cyclopentane aromatics extraction, cracking gas washing tower, heavy aromatics extraction, acetone recovery tower, gasoline sweetening, and pressure reducing tower.
