Ceramic corrugated packing (ceramic structured packing) is a new type of structured packing, which is composed of many packing units with the same geometric shape. The cylindrical unit composed of parallel superimposed corrugated sheets is called corrugated plate packing. Due to the unique structure of ceramics, it has good hydrophilic properties. The turbulence of a very thin liquid film can be formed on its surface, and the inclined and tortuous channels of airflow can promote airflow without blocking it, making ceramic packing comparable to metal packing, while its corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance are incomparable to metal packing. The surface structure has good wetting properties, which can accelerate the flow of liquid and minimize the amount of liquid stagnation in the packing. Thereby reducing the chance of overheating, polymerization and coking. According to the different vertical inclination angles of the corrugations, it can be divided into X-type and Y-type. The inclination angle of the X-type is 30°, and the inclination angle of the Y-type is 45°. Lightweight reinforced ceramic corrugated structured packing is made into a whole disc shape with a diameter of 400mm or less or six pieces with a diameter of less than 800mm, and 9 or more pieces with a diameter of more than 800mm. Since the packing is inelastic, the packing diameter must be a few millimeters smaller than the inner diameter of the tower. The gap between the packing and the tower wall can be filled with glass fiber, asbestos or polyethylene tape to prevent wall flow and wear between the packing and the tower wall.
The main components of ceramic corrugated structured packing are high-quality aluminum powder, clay, quartz, and feldspar. According to scientific proportions and with some rare elements, it is dried, screened, and ball-milled into porcelain mud. It is refined by several molding processes such as molding, billeting, drying, and calcination. It contains aluminum, silicon and other rare elements.

It is the quality guarantee of high-purity and high-quality products for export chemical companies. It is particularly suitable for the separation process of high-temperature and corrosive media. The operating pressure is between 0.1-500Kpa, and the application effect is good. Applicable occasions: distillation of halogenated organic compounds; distillation and absorption of corrosive mixtures with strict requirements on pressure drop and theoretical plate number; sulfuric acid absorption, nitric acid concentration and fertilizer plant gas purification, etc., in towers containing a large amount of natural media; vacuum operation with an absolute pressure of 100Pa; used as heat exchanger, demister or catalyst carrier, etc.
